Steamport is the steampunk-themed section of the city. In this particular version of steampunk, it appears to be a future dystopian version of Steampunk, where the old society died and the survivors have to scavenge and revert to older steam-based technology. In Toonopolis: Chi Lin, Gemini and his friends crashed landed in Steamport and were helped by Misanthrope Beechworth and Yuki to enter the famous dustwaste for the final confrontation with Leothas. The Neddor brothers appeared in the dustwaste at the end of this story and were trapped by Chi Lin.

In Misanthrope Beechworth & The Dustwaste Wellspring, it is learned that Misanthrope Beechworth wasn't always the head of the Royal Order of Scavengers and Engineers and started life as a simple toymaker's daughter. Her adventure into the dustwaste with her friend Rube Silverburg and the noble Heinrich von Deutsch led to both an amazing discovery about the fate of The Indefatigable, a famed ROSE ship that crashed ten years earlier and was presumed lost with no survivors. It also led to her discovering a perpetual energy source, leading to an invitation to attend ROSE Academy instead of continuing to live as a scavenger.
