Boreas was the King of the Pirates during the Ninja-Pirate War. He considered the war over when he discovered he had a daughter, Zephyr.

Appearance

Boreas is described as tall, pale skinned, yellow-haired, and green eyed. At the end of Anchihiiroo - Origin of an Antihero, he is much older with gray hair throughout his yellow.

History

Boreas led the pirate invasion of Higeki, where Yoshi was orphaned for the first time. Yoshi saw him through the hideaway his mother made for him and knew it was Boreas that killed his parents. As the Pirate King, Boreas continued to lead the pirates against the ninjas during the Ninja-Pirate War until its end.

At the end of Yoshi's hero journey, Boreas is found in the Pirate Isles with his daughter, Zephyr. He begs Yoshi for his life, citing his goal to right his own wrongs by raising his daughter to be better than he was. Boreas realizes his pleas are unlikely to sway Yoshi and sends Zephyr to another room. True to his promise, Yoshi kills Boreas in cold blood.

Zephyr, left orphaned, is spared only because Suzaku would not allow Yoshi to kill a child as well.
