Yoshi of Higeki, better known to the people of Animetown as Anchihiiroo, is an antihero figure who protects his section of the city, but often as more of a mercenary for hire than a true hero. He is one of the rogue creations encouraged by The Shadowy Figure during the events of Toonopolis: Gemini.

Appearance

In Toonopolis: Gemini, Anchihiiroo is described as a strong sword-wielding figure with long black hair who fights in just a black pair of samurai pants.

History

Yoshi of Higeki's story began when he was only five years old and pirates destroyed his hometown, slaughtering everyone but him. His mother had hidden him to protect him from the pirates. His second home, an orphanage in Hiun, was destroyed by the ninjas who were attempting to end the Ninja-Pirate War by destroying the pirates in the village.

Finally, Yoshi ended up living in Suzaku Temple, raised among the Buddhist monks and other orphans affected by the great War. Like all other children in the temple, Yoshi was shown the egg of Suzaku, which was prophesied to hatch for the future hero of Animetown. When Suzaku's egg did hatch for him, he was deemed the hero of the prophesy by Bikkhu Soohei and sent on a journey to perfect his mind, body, and spirit to complete the legend.

Throughout his training, Yoshi demonstrated impatience and a desire to move on with his training so he could have the skills to avenge his family. During his "body" training, he met and fell in love with a girl named Gisei, who was sent to test his resolve and chastity. The two of them made a deal to meet up after his training was done. During this training, he crafted his famous Masamune sword using his own blood, sweat, and tears mixed with the ashes leftover from Suzaku's hatching. While working on his sensei training, Yoshi received a message that Gisei had been kidnapped by pirates and were threatening to kill her.

He sped through his training yet again so he could rush off to Kaizoku Isles to confront the leader of the pirates, Boreas. He was stopped before he reached the Pirate King by Naito, the second in command of the ninjas, who informed Yoshi that Kunoichi, the leader of the ninjas, was dead. Naito told Yoshi that revenge was not necessary, because he was delivering something to Boreas that would end the war.

Yoshi ignored Naito's advice/warning and stormed into Boreas's home. The "something" delivered by Naito was apparently Zephyr, Boreas's daughter. Boreas pled for his life for the sake of his child, but upon admitting to Yoshi that Gisei was dead, Yoshi killed him anyway. Due to this rash action, Suzaku decided to leave Yoshi's side to look after the now-orphaned Zephyr instead.

Yoshi returned to Animetown and took the moniker Anchihiiroo, acting as a mercenary hero for hire. He continued as Animetown's anti-hero for years until he was approached by The Shadowy Figure, who taught him the technique to go rogue, allowing him to become a true villain instead of an anti-hero as his creator envisioned him to be. It was at this time he took on the name Han'Eiyuu instead of Anchihiiroo.

At the end of Anchihiiroo - Origin of an Antihero, he is waiting the arrival of Gemini as forewarned by The Shadowy Figure. In Toonopolis: Gemini, Anchihiiroo fought the outsider and lost, having his sword broken along the way. Gemini spares Anchihiiroo's life but commands him to renounce being a rogue and accept who he truly is.
