Grayscale Village is the home of "classic" cartoons. Gemini first visits this section of the city in Toonopolis: Gemini when he hears that The Shadowy Figure has attacked it. It is the first example of the "pureblacking" technique used by Shadowy Figure to destroy toons. He returns during Toonopolis: Chi Lin while he was tracking the unicorn, where he finds the village has been damaged by Chi Lin's "rainbowing" technique.
